The Yacht Week (TYW) 2015 + Updates!

Pictures from Week 31 are up!

It's been a crazy past couple of months! I am finally back in London after three months of traveling. After my trip to Portugal, I visited Mexico, USA, and Croatia.

I spent a month in Croatia. During my first two weeks, I raved at Ultra Europe (Split) and explored Istria (Northern Croatia). I then spent my final two weeks in Croatia as the official photographer for The Yacht Week Croatia (Black Route): Week 30 and Week 31.

It was an amazing opportunity to be able to live and breathe travel and photography on TYW. By balancing my work commitments, I also got to enjoy TYW as a regular guest. As I only had to produce a set number of images by the end of the week, I was able to choose when I wanted to work and when I wanted to relax. This gave me the opportunity to join other guests for meals, ride scooters across islands, cliff-jump, explore caves and swim in the beautiful Adriatic Sea. That said, shooting for TYW has also been one of the most challenging and intense experiences I have ever had in my life. I was struggling to find time to rest amidst a 8am-4am schedule and all the after-parties and after-after-parties. Also, the fact that many activities happen simultaneously on different islands, different bays, and different yachts, made it very logistically challenging.

I will be writing about my experience photographing for TYW very soon, where I will be covering both the glamorous and the challenging bits!

Meanwhile, you may find pictures from Week 31 on my FB Page, Lin Loke Travel, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lin-Loke-Travel/1401343956849931.

Please feel free to tag you and your friends. It would also mean a lot to me if you could like my page! Apart from all the ad-hoc club and events photography that I have done, TYW is my first professional photography gig. I am looking forward to your support as I definitely want to develop myself further as a professional photographer.

Pictures from Week 30 will be uploaded soon - stay tuned! Thank you :)
